The Langwell family surprised us with a shower on Sunday, September 30, 2007.
It was a "Honey Do" shower and the house was decorated with bees and cute 'honey' inspired sayings. (Honey, take out the trash, Honey, wash the dishes, Honey, change the channel, etc.)
The shower was held at Trenton's Aunt Lana's home. It was hosted by his sister Kimberly, Grandma Grand, and Aunt Lana. Kimberly decorated Aunt Lana's home with yellow and black streamers, balloons, bees, tools, and funny sayings. She even designed our cake.
Grandma Grand made her famous sandwiches that we can't seem to eat enough of. Aunt Lana plastered her home with photos of Trenton and me that included silly interpretations of our expressions.
We had a great time and received a lot of wonderful and thoughtful gifts. Our most unexpected gifts include a tiller (Thank you Aunt Lana and Mr. Drew!) as well as a surprise gift of the infamous family towel robe - long story, similar to the dreaded fruit cake that is gifted back and forth at Christmas time. You get the idea.
We had a great time and feel blessed to have our families support and love. A big 'thank you' goes out to Kimberly, Grandma Grand, Aunt Lana, and everyone that was able to attend.
